Retail Design — Flagship Store
A flagship store for the menswear label Ne.Sense, inspired by the brand’s sartorial grit and coexistence of tradition and modern edge. The space will house rotating installations based on their seasonal conceptual collections drawn from a sociological ideology.
The connection between street to store keeps the entrance low-key and on brand. The mystery and process of looking for the store is something newcomers can be intrigued by. When opening the doors, the only access to the store is by elevator.
After getting out of the elevator, the design language is minimal and muted, to allow each collection’s installations to live on their own. This area acts as a diffusion for when visitors enter, and a funnel for when they exit. Since the hallway area will usually house installations of the rotating collections, the area is kept serene as a precursor.
BLACK SMOKE BOX /
Floating glass boxes filled with moving black smoke represent the corruption of our system as pollution. The idea is that if the smoke escapes, it symbolizes the trickling down of this evil into everyday citizens lives. So there’s a need for the box to be contained.
